At our general assembly on 12 June 2024, we took up this question and reflected on the last two years of our association’s history. We are proud to call ourselves an integral part of the Swiss financial market now. As a public-private partnership, we jointly decide on our strategy together with the relevant government authorities, which have been involved in important decisions since the start of the project.
Since last year’s general assembly financial institutions from Liechtenstein and other providers of financial services that are not regulated by FINMA can also become a member of our association. We are looking forward to new members and opportunities.
Beside the keynote speech by Max Smeets (ETH Zurich) on ransomware, the panel discussion was another highlight of the day. The high-profile panelists Marc Hechler (ZKB), Thomas Koch (SIX) and Florian Schütz (BACS) discussed the topic of “Systemic Cyber Crisis in the Swiss Financial Centre” moderated by Lukas Mäder (NZZ).
